Mountain View, Calif. - March 20, 2003 - IntelliCorp, a global solutions firm utilizing technology to optimize enterprise business processes, today announced the general availability of an updated and improved version of its NetProcess™ suite of R/3 life-cycle management application tools.
This release addresses the specific and complex issues faced by companies migrating their existing R/3 customizations to more recent versions of R/3 4.x or R/3 Enterprise. The NetProcess suite offers sophisticated business process modeling, automatic process discovery, technical R/3 analysis, and business activity monitoring capabilities which automatically identify problems with custom and standard R/3 objects and present the results in the context of the affected business processes. The suite’s single interface enables business and IT staff to more effectively communicate and manage an SAP R/3 upgrade or consolidation project thus reducing the total cost of the installation and improving the value of the SAP investment.
Customers utilizing NetProcess with IntelliCorp’s Fact-based PlanningSM methodology experience a marked improvement in reducing both the cost and risk associated with upgrade projects. Fact-based Planning combines technology with expert advice to automate and accelerate the discovery process and produce a risk-factored readiness plan that includes bite-sized steps that generate immediate value.
The new release of the NetProcess suite introduces the first available business process model with support for SAP R/3 Enterprise. Working with some of the world’s largest R/3 users, IntelliCorp captured and documented the new functionality and business processes within R/3 Enterprise. The integration of business process modeling (BPM) with automated business process discovery and underlying R/3 technical analysis make NetProcess uniquely suited to support rapid R/3 Enterprise upgrades.
"Businesses have high expectations of IT for maximizing the value of this round of R/3 upgrades," said Chris Trueman, chief development officer for IntelliCorp. "NetProcess provides the optimal safety net for organizations looking to meet their corporate objectives on cost, time and quality with their SAP improvements. When planning an upgrade, our toolset maps the existing R/3 infrastructure and how it supports the business. Not only do our customers save time and cut the total cost of the upgrade, but they also improve the overall accuracy and objectivity of the process and resulting upgrade through NetProcess technology."
SAP is currently encouraging its customers to upgrade to R/3 Enterprise to take advantage of a single unified architecture supporting critical ERP, and complimentary functionality such as customer relationship management (CRM), product life-cycle management (PLM), and supply chain management (SCM). NetProcess is specifically designed to address the risks associated with the upgrade process to minimize increased costs, process change, unexpected delays, productivity slumps, and customization surprises.
