Mountain View, Calif. - March 26, 2003 - IntelliCorp, a global solutions firm utilizing technology to optimize enterprise business processes, today announced the completion of a NetProcessTM Fact-based PlanningSM assessment for Albemarle (NYSE:ALB), a leading manufacturer of specialty chemicals.
Albemarle’s IT staff identified the need to upgrade from SAP R/3 version 3.1i to version 4.6c at the lowest possible cost, while ensuring that the upgrade plan accurately recognized and quantified the custom objects embedded in the current system. Albemarle identified areas where it could reduce costs through outsourcing to best-of-breed vendors for specific services. IntelliCorp was selected to deliver a comprehensive gap analysis of the business processes and detailed technical differences between the existing production system and the targeted upgrade release, including Albemarle’s custom code and interfaces.
