Aventis Pharma Adopts IntelliCorp's LiveModel within the Framework of its SAP™ R/3™ Implementation Strategy

$13 Billion Pharmaceutical Leader Uses LiveModel to Cope with Complexity of Business Processes

Mountain View, Calif. - May 17, 2000 - IntelliCorp [Nasdaq: INAI], a leading provider of eBusiness and CRM solutions for the SAP community, today announced Aventis Pharma S.A., the pharmaceutical division of Aventis France, has successfully integrated LiveModel for SAP R/3.

Aventis Pharma ranks among the leaders worldwide in prescription drug sales as well as vaccine sales. It has one of the world's largest research and development budgets, a sales force with proven effectiveness and robust market presence around the world. Aventis Pharma's leaders are recognized for innovative thinking.

According to Pierre Mancy, Director of SAP Services at Aventis Pharma, "The experience we gained from previous implementations and the increase in complexity showed us that a business process modeling tool was required. It was also essential to have a common repository for the various terms used. IntelliCorp's LiveModel fulfilled all of these needs."

LiveModel helps companies accelerate implementation time, eliminate costly mistakes and provides a foundation for e-transformation by allowing teams to immediately understand how various business changes or scenarios will impact R/3.

Providing an intuitive visual front-end, LiveModel provides a clear and explicit flowchart of the business processes during design phase, as well as during implementation, evolution and maintenance of the system. It is an essential communication tool between the project's management teams and users. It also makes maintaining the process easier by reducing resources and costs associated with R/3.

"The acquisition of LiveModel for Aventis Pharma France is also a long-term investment which will provide high-quality continuous knowledge of our system. This is essential for training new arrivals and also for being prepared for future evolution," concluded Pierre Mancy.
