Berlin, Germany - May 23, 2000 - IntelliCorp, a leading provider
of eBusiness and CRM solutions for the SAP community, today announced
a new contract with Unilever, for the latest version of LiveModel.
This LiveModel solution is being used by Unilever’s Home and Personal
Care Europe (HPCE) division to identify and improve common SAP processes
across its European business.
LiveModel helps companies accelerate implementation time, eliminate costly mistakes and provide a foundation for e-transformation by allowing teams to immediately understand how various business changes or scenarios will impact R/3.
"We have been using LiveModel as part of our European SAP project to capture and record process-driven information that will benefit our SAP-skilled users here in the UK, " says Jane Gamwell, SAP Implementation Manager at Unilever. "The modeling results will then be taken out to the rest of Europe, where we will be meeting the needs of business users more effectively by ensuring that processes and procedures are described in terms that business people can understand."
Using LiveModel, the definition of processes is due to be completed by summer 2000. Implementation will then be rolled out across Europe by the end of 2003.
Discussing the main benefit of using LiveModel, Gamwell adds: "This modeling project has made us aware of the extensive possibilities afforded by SAP. Even though we are not currently utilizing the full functionality of SAP, we can now see its potential."
"LiveModel’s ease of use has meant that process information can be captured quickly. Naturally, this will have a direct influence on project implementation speed, and therefore costs. It has also encouraged a better understanding of SAP processes, and how these can be integrated with other applications across the organization."
Providing an intuitive visual front-end, LiveModel provides a clear and explicit flowchart of the business processes during design phase, as well as during implementation, evolution and maintenance of the system. It is an essential communication tool between the project's management teams and users. It also makes maintaining the process easier by reducing resources and costs associated with R/3.
LiveModel is also being used by the Foods Group of Unilever.
