NetProcess 6.0 Hot Fixes
Last Update: August 23, 2004
Please note: Hot fixes are changes made to the software to resolve an issue and are released with limited regression testing.

Description: APO & BW LiveCompare Support. In support of LiveCompare functionality for SAP APO and BW environments we have created new R3 transports. These transports supercede those contained on the NetProcess 6.0 CD and must be installed on all of your APO or BW systems in order for LiveCompare to work properly.

Description: A new build of NetProcess has been generated incorporating a number of enhancements to the Solution Manager Integration functionality. This build is classified as a HotFix and we recommend that if you plan to integrate NetProcess with Solution Manager that you upgrade to this release. The enhancements include:

Mappings
BDL Task objects can be mapped to Process Step objects in a Solution Manager model. This is useful if your modeling methodology enforces a separation between the business process and the SAP implementation of them. The ASAP Mapping Wizard has been replaced with the SAP Mapping Wizard that works for both BDL/ASAP and BDL/Solution Manager model combinations.

When a Task is mapped to one or more Process Step objects, the Transactions tab in the details window will show the set of available transactions (which come from the mappings with the process steps) as well as the transactions mapped to the task's work steps.

Logical Components
Any Logical Components assigned to a SAP Solution Manager Project are imported into the NetProcess Solution Manager model underneath the 'Logical Components' folder.

In an associated BDL model, a Logical Component can be associated with a Task (as a parent) using the Object Linking Wizard or drag and relate. The Logical Components BDL folder includes a decomposition diagram that graphically shows the relationships between logical components and tasks.

Default Logical Component
In the Solution Manager, creating a Process Step requires an association with a Logical Component. The transactions of the Process Step are automatically assigned to the same Logical Component.

Content created in the BDL can be pushed through to an SAP Solution Manager Project without first assigning it to a Logical Component. In this situation NetProcess will use the default Logical Component. The new build uses 'SAP R/3' as the default. However, this can be changed by editing the 'sap_logical_components.xml' file in the NetProcess web\data directory. Please note, the name must be identical to the name of the Logical Component as defined in the SAP Solution Manager software.

Enable Object Delete
This option is available on the BDL-to-Solution Manager Project wizard and on the Update Solution Manager wizard. The option controls whether objects deleted from the BDL are deleted from the NetProcess view of the Solution Manager and the SAP Solution Manager database. The option is turned off by default.

Reordering Objects
The order of the hierarchy is now preserved across uploads and refreshes of the Solution Manager project database.

Non Destructive Uploads
Documents and IMG Activities associated with Solution Manager objects are now preserved when the objects are uploaded from a NetProcess Solution Manager model.

Transactions Tab for BDL Tasks
The Transactions Tab is now available at the BDL Task level to list any Transactions associated with the Task. These include Transactions mapped to the child Worksteps, and in the case of a BDL associated with a NetProcess Solution Manager model, Transactions linked to any associated Process Steps.

For use with NetProcess Version:   6.0
Prerequisites:   None

Description: Table Contents comparisons had incorrect results in Tier 1. The tables were listed under Different folder when Tier 2 showed the contents to be the same. The reason was because the records were not being returned in the order of the primary key by the database. So an explicit ORDER BY clause has been added in to fix the problem.

Correction Number:   VOZK902236
Apply to LiveCompare Version:   6.0
Prerequisites:   None

Description: We have recently noticed that the NetProcess 6.0 CD was shipped with an earlier version of Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) than we intended - release 2.5 instead of 2.8. This earlier release of MDAC does not allow NetProcess to connect to a named SQL Server instance where NetProcess and SQL Server are running on different machines.

If you plan to have NetProcess connect to a named SQL Server instance on a remote machine, you will need to download the 2.8 version of MDAC and install it on your NetProcess server. MDAC 2.8.
