Welcome to the beginning of the spring season with IntelliCorp. This past week, IntelliCorp joined with several Silicon Valley companies in Santa Clara, CA to participate in the LAM Research Annual “Heart & Soles 5K Run” which supports local organizations who strive to supply students with healthy lifestyles.
The Heart & Soles 5K was founded by the CEO and President of Silicon Valley Leadership Group, Carl Guardino. Throughout his time at Silicon Valley Leadership Group, Carl also founded popular races well known to the community, the Thanksgiving Day Applied Materials “Silicon Valley Turkey Trot” and the “Santa Run Silicon Valley.”
This year, IntelliCorp was one of the sponsors of the event and presented Carl with an official Team IntelliCorp running shirt company swag for his long time support of IntelliCorp. Our CEO, Jerry Klajbor gave a short speech about the race that you can view here.
“More importantly, each one of you what you are doing today is an act of kindness today because you are giving back to the boys and girls and the kids of our community by taking part of this particular event,” Jerry Klajbor.

Community members, companies, and volunteers came out to support the event, which donates all registration proceeds to the beneficiaries including the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Cruz County, Silicon Valley, North San Mateo County, San Jose Earthquakes Community Fund, Santa Clara County Office off Education, Specialized Foundation, and YMCA Silicon Valley.
Team IntelliCorp joined with the crowd of 2200 people and stayed together wearing our green IntelliCorp shirts from the start of the race at the Santa Clara University to the end of the race at the Avaya Stadium.

This year, we sponsored the event and competed in the Corporate Challenge with various companies and size categories. Our friends and families joined Team IntelliCorp on the cloudy day in Santa Clara including our CTO, Chris Trueman who came all the way from the UK.
Our HR Manager and CTO running the 10K, they were side-by-side the whole time and finished in 52minutes! Good job, team!
We also had a new runner to the race, our newest marketing intern in training, Walter.
Our new intern, Walter likes to wear his new Heart & Soles Medal.
We started the day with our team taking many pictures along the way of the course and even got a picture with the San Jose Earthquakes mascot, Q!

As the coordinator of our company participation, I was excited to welcome our employees who joined the race for the first time and contributed to our team effort to win the Corporate Challenge. I am happy to announce that we placed as the largest number of participants in the Extra Small Company for the Corporate Challenge!

Thank you all who attended the event with the community. We look forward to participating in more events hosted by Silicon Valley Leadership Group and local organizations.
